~Michael Poor Bear~

DENVER - Michael Poor Bear, 32, Denver, died Thursday, April 10 at Heart Center of the Northern Rockies in Loveland.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Hall, Pueblo; two sons, Allen Poor Bear and Raiden Poor Bear, Denver; his mother, Rita Prince, Las Vegas; his father, Eugene Poor Bear, Alliance, Neb.; and one sister, Cheyenne Poor Bear, Las Vegas.
A one night wake was Wednesday, April 16, at the Allen CAP Office in Allen.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 17, at the office with the Rev. Don Mink officiating.

Cremation and burial will take place at a later date.

A memorial is established to buy back ancestral tribal lands in his sons' names. Donations may be sent to Jennifer Hall, 1008 N. Grand, Pueblo, CO 81005.

Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge was in charge of arrangements.



~Cherry DuBray~

DENVER - Cherry DuBray, 84, Denver, died Monday, April 7 at her home.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Clifford, Skull Valley, Ariz., Ron Duke, Allen, and James Harper, Denver; one daughter, Carol Shangreaux, Denver; and two brothers, John DuBray Sr., Martin, and Carl DuBray, Allen.

A one night wake was Friday, April 11, at the Allen CAP Office in Allen.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 12, at the office. Burial was at Allen Community Cemetery in Allen.

Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.



~George Chase Alone Jr.~

MANDERSON - George Chase Alone Jr., 48, died April 13 at Denver, Colo. of natural causes.
Survivors include his mother Mary Chase Alone, Manderson; brothers Leonard Chase Alone, Robert Chase Alone and Homer Chase Alone all of Manderson; sisters: Elizabeth Chase Alone and Sonia Chase Alone of Manderson.

A two night wake begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at St. Agnes Catholic Hall in Manderson.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday at St. Agnes Catholic Hall
Officiating will Rev. Chris Collins with internment at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Manderson.

Sioux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



~Lula M. Two Bonnetts~

MANDERSON - Lula M. Two Bonnetts, 90, died April 13 at the Pine Ridge Hospital of natural causes.
Survivors include son John Ghost, Manderson; daughters Wanda Thayer, Hermosa; Joyce Little Dog, Janice Little Dog and Darla Swain all of Manderson; Cynthia Plenty Arrows, Wounded Knee; brother Jay Mesteth, Manderson; sisters: Opal Calender, Gillette, Wyom. And 32 grandchildren, 96 great grandchildren, 32 great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren.

A two night wake will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10 at Wounded Knee District School at Manderson.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday, at Wounded Knee District School with Rev. Chris Collins officiating.

Internment will be at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Manderson.

Sioux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



~Lavern 'Joey' Stands~

MANDERSON - Lavern 'Joey' Stands, 35, died April 10 of natural causes.
Survivors include spouse Arlana Stands, Manderson; sons Joseph Stands and Donovan Stands both of Manderson; daughter Christina Stands, Manderson; mother Zona Looks Twice, Minneapolis, Minn.; brothers Harold Stands, Minneapolis; Mike Curley, Wounded Knee; Seamore Curley; sisters Connie Curley, Minneapolis; Juiley Villroy; Yevette Curley.

A two night wake was Wednesday, April 16 at St. Agnes Catholic Hall, Manderson.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 18at St. Agnes Catholic HallOfficiating will be Rev. Chris Collins with interment at Jumping Eagle Family Cemetery, White Butte, Manderson.



~Daniel V. Goodman~

OZAWKIE, KAN. - Funeral services for Daniel V. Goodman, Jr., 71, Ozawkie were Friday, March 7, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial with military honors followed in Muncie Cemetery, Ottawa, Kan. Goodman died Saturday, March 1, at his residence, after a lengthy illness.
Dan was born April 16, 1936, in Aberdeen, S.D. to Daniel V. Sr. and Sophia Goodman. He graduated from Provo High School, Igloo.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1964 and graduated from the Utah State Police Academy.
He graduated from Haskell Indian Junior College and attended Kansas University. He was a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, and an honorary member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas.
Survivors include daughter, Yvonne Marie Goodman, Lawrence, Kan.; two sons, Ron Brave, Lawrence, Kan.; and Wesley Dillon, Peeves; a brother, Cedric (Leola), Pine Ridge; and three grandchildren, Chant and Inilia Brave of Lawrence, Kan; and Shawna Dillon of St. Paul, Minn.; nieces Charlene (Anthony) Smallwood, Danielle and Marie Goodman all of Pine Ridge, Sandra and Tonia Goodman, Sacramento, Calif.; nephew Cedric Goodman, Jr., Pine Ridge; several great nieces and nephews; and his friend, Cathy Spooner, Lawrence, Kan.



~Davis D. Eagle Bull~

PINE RIDGE - Davis D. Eagle Bull, 47, died April 13 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. Survivors include a son Dakota Eagle Bull, Pine Ridge; adopted daughters Melanie Ghost Dog and Evie Ghost Dog, Pine Ridge; brothers Lawrence "Babe" Eagle Bull, George Eagle Bull, Harry Eagle Bull and Jamie Big Crow all of Pine Ridge; Leo Eagle Bull, Rapid City; Ryan Eagle Bull, Kansas City, Mo.; sisters Clarinda Moran, Edgemont; Oletha Mousseau, Pine Ridge; and adopted sister: Debbie Eagle, Elk, Rapid City and 19 grandchildren.

A first night wake begins Thursday, April 17 at the Marnie Waters Residence at Pine Ridge; a second night wake begins at 2 p.m., Friday at Billy Mills Hall

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 19 at Billy Mills Hall with Rev. Steve Sanford officiating.

Internment will be at Holy Cross Episcopal Cemetery, Pine Ridge.

Sioux Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
