      Dear Editor: I want to thank all the people who were involved in helping us out during the terrible blizzard in Wanblee on Nov. 5, which left us without lights for over a week. Thanks to the Crazy Horse School for making their school a shelter for much families without electricity.

Language conference was a success
      Hau Mitakuyapi, Anpetu waste icic'iyapelo. I hope everyone had a good safe trip home from the summit. Thank you all for making the 2008 Lakota Dakota Nakota Language Summit such a huge success. It was very nice meeting everyone and I can't wait until we can all get together again.

      Dear Editor: I read Tim Giago's column recently. I am a white American of Irish and Scottish Descent, my great-great-great paternal grandparents came from Ireland and my mom came from Scotland. Your column was very good and raises some excellent points.
