RAPID CITY - Dennis C. Shot, 55 Rapid City, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Cecelia Shot, Shakopee, Minn.; two sons, Dennis Shott Jr., Sioux Falls, and Warren Shott Sr., Shakopee; five daughters, Raven Shott, Rapid City, Tatanka Win Shott, Pine Ridge, Michelle Shott, Kearney, Neb., He'Ska Win Shott and Susan Shott, both of Shakopee; three brothers, George Shott and Leland "Kayo" Shott, both of Paramount, Calif., and Lyle Suttone Sr., Tecumsah, Neb.; three sisters, Mona Torres, Paramount, Susanna Sutton, Oglala, and Nancy White Eyes, Pine Ridge; and Lakota brothers and sisters, Pat Pumpkin Seed, Tony Tail, Beverly Running Bear, Phyllis Shott, Rita White Butterfly, Mary Anne White Butterfly, Gloria White Butterfly, Delphine White Butterfly and Carol White Butterfly.

A one night wake was Sunday, Dec. 7, at Mother Butler Center in Rapid City with a second night on Dec. 8, at St. Agnes Catholic Hall in Manderson.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 9, at St. Agnes Hall, with the Rev. Phil Cooke officiating. Burial was at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Wounded Knee. Serenity Springs Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
