PINE RIDGE - Scott S. American Horse, 75, Pine Ridge, died Tuesday, Dec. 16 in Rapid City. He served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Wanda American Horse, Pine Ridge; three sons, Charles American Horse, Pierre, Amos American Horse, Pine Ridge, and Robert American Horse, Wounded Knee; his adopted daughter, Collen Light Foot, Pahaska, Okla.; and three brothers, Vern American Horse, Gordon, Neb., Joe American Horse, Oglala, and Dave American Horse, Slim Butte.

A two night wake was Dec. 20, at the Red Bear residence in Potato Creek. Funeral services were Dec. 22, at the Red Bear residence, with the Rev. Burnette Iron Shell officiating. Burial was at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
