Bennett County earns home court with win over Mustangs, downs St. Francis for ticket to 14A championship game
      MARTIN - Bennett County overcame the slowdown tactics of St. Francis Tuesday night and a 0-0 first quarter score to go on to a 35-29 first round 14A win over the St. Francis Warriors. Jordan High Horse started the scoring in the second period and went on to score 12 in the second half for a game high 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Pine Ridge comes from behind to corral the Mustangs
      PINE RIDGE - Little Wound took a 28-27 lead into the second half only to lose it in the third going down 39- 34 in their District 14A first round game at Pine Ridge; the Mustangs grabbed the lead back midway through the fourth only to see Pine Ridge's Roman Leftwich finish with a game high 27 points to lead the Thorpes to the 57-51 first round win over Little Wound.

Bismarck State one win away from Nationals
      BISMARCK - TJ McCauley hit 27 points with seven rebounds to help lead Bismarck State College to a 89-74 win overt Gogebic Community College in the first round of the district qualifying Sunday in Bismarck. Matt Ulmer helped out with 24 points, Lester Gotheridge chipped in 14 points and nine rebounds while Billy Scott added nine points.

      HILL CITY/PINE RIDGE - Bryer Iron Cloud hit 12 second quarter points to help the Crusaders overcome a 15-8 first quarter deficit and gain the lead at the half 34-33 on the way to a difficult 87-76 win over Hill City before a raucous standing room only crowd in Hill City Friday night.

Cheyenne Eagle Butte upends Stanley County for 12A Title
      MOBRIDGE - In a hard fought 12A battle in Mobridge at the Scherr-Howe Arena Saturday, Stanley County held a 20- 18 halftime lead over Cheyenne Eagle Butte but Lacey Leaf, Nadia Watt and Scottie Laundreaux out-battled Stanley County's Sam Ostarello down the stretch for a 52-46 win and a trip to the Region 6A title game.

Busch named all conference
      COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - Sunni Busch, a junior guard at Chadron State College and Todd County graduate was selected to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Eastern Division second team all conference today. Busch finished up her third season at Chadron State by averaging 15.6 points a game, 9.4 rebounds with 12 double doubles this year.
