Rosebud approves amending SWA to include $3 million in stimulus money

ROSEBUD - Last week the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Council approved an amendment to the 2008 Sicangu Wicoti Awanyakapi housing plan to include over $3 million in additional funding. The increase reflects money SWA expects to receive from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This act is commonly referred to as President Obama's Stimulus Plan. More...

Pine Ridge wastewater facility first in northern plains Indian country

PINE RIDGE — The construction on the Pine Ridge Wastewater Treatment Facility and Wetlands Project was complete on Nov. 28, 2008. It was officially put on line on Jan. 7, 2009. Final inspection of the facility was done on Feb. 5, 2009, with Indian Health Services Engineers from Aberdeen, Pierre, and Martin. More...
