Contractor for the 133rd Rosebud
Sioux Tribal Rodeo to be held
August 28th thru August 30th,
2009. All proposals will include
a detailed budget for all Rough
Stock and Timed Event Stock for
the following events: Bareback,
Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Tie
Down Roping, Steer Wrestling,
Team Roping, Ladies Breakaway
and Horses for the Jr. & Sr. Wild
Horse Race and Saddle Bronc
Match. The Stock Contractor
will be responsible for 2 - Pick-
Up Men and Bull Fighter(s), Will
be responsible for the barrier and
all chute help. MUST HAVE A
INFR PERSONNEL CARD along
with verification of Indian preference.

Youth Shelter OST EYS

The Oglala Sioux Tribe Emergency
Youth Shelter is requesting
bids for the removal of the
existing roof material and the installation
of a metal roof on the
Pine Ridge and Kyle facilities.
Contractor's submitting bids
must attend a mandatory prebid
walk through of each site,
tentatively scheduled on two
consecutive days at 10 am, June
9 , 2009, Pine Ridge facility and
June 10, 2009 Kyle facility. Each
project should be bid separately
and clearly mark Pine Ridge Roof
project and Kyle Roof project due
to funding requirements; all bids
must be received in the Property
and Supply Office no later than
4:30pm (MT) on June 19, 2009.
Bids will be opened and publicly
read on June 22 at 10:00 am
(MT) at the Oglala Sioux Tribe
Property and Supply Office in
Pine Ridge. It is the responsibility
of the contractor to contact
EYS officefor a complete packet
for each project; contractor is
also required to sign for each
packet taken out for bidding
purposes.
All bidders are responsible for
paying all applicable taxes and
fees associated with doing Business
upon the Pine Ridge Indian
Reservation. Contractor is subject
to TERO Rules and Regulations.
No work will be performed
until a Notice to Proceed is
granted by the OST Treasurer
and the contractor provides a
signed TERO compliance agreement
to EYS Director.
The Oglala Sioux Tribe Emergency
Youth Shelter reserves the
right to reject any and all bids, to
waive any informality in any bid,
and to accept the bid most favorable
to the interest of the tribe.
Scope of Work
1.Project is to be completed in 30
days of notice to proceed. Liquidated
damages of $250.00 per
day for failure to complete within
time allowed.
2.Pine Ridge/Kyle Roof: Removal
of old roof materials and disposal.
Contractor will properly
dispose of old roof materials.
3. Install new felt membrane and
metal roof; provide transferable
manufacturer's warranty to
owner upon award of contract.
Kyle Roof Only: Remove and Replace
5 pieces of roof sheeting.
4.Metal Roof Specification:
Zinc Phosphate Pre-treated
ASTMA 653 Grade 80
structural strength steel
82000 PSI tensile Strength
UL 2218 Class 4 Hail Rating

5. Contractor will ensure that a
clean and safe work site is kept to
ensure safety for the clients that
use the building on a daily basis,
and the contractor will clean up
the site at the end of each day.
6.If sheathing needs to be replaced,
Contractor shall consult
with EYS director and provide
proper documentation as to the
extra costs, after which the EYS
director will make a determination.
7.Contractor is required to provide
weekly certified payroll reports
to the owner once the work
has begun. Davis/Bacon /TERO
wage requirements; contractor is
required to pay the higher of the
two.
8.Successful bidder(s) will be required
to provide a signed TERO
Compliance Agreement before
beginning work to the EYS Director.
9.Please include the following in
your bid packet when you return
it: Insurance information, Tribal
Business License and any certifi-
cations related to your company
and Indian preference.
10. Final payment will not be released
until work passes inspection.

performing reconstruction work
on the following road project.
BIA Route 27 - Project No. 27-
09-16. From US Highway 18
north for 4.8 miles toward
Wounded Knee.
• This project will mill 1" of old
asphalt for smoothness that will
be followed by 2" of Hot Asphalt
Concrete pavement and center
line and shoulder paint striping.
• This work will be completed
during the summer after the
work is advertised for bids and a
contractor is selected to perform
that work. All work is scheduled
for completion by Fall of 2009.
• The road will remain open with
some traffic delays. To facilitate
the timely completion of work,
we ask that the travelling public
use alternate routes when possible.

performing reconstruction work
on the following road project.
This project may be completed
using funding under the American
Recovery and Reinvestment
Act of 2009, Public Law No. 111-
9.
BIA Route 41 - Loneman to Red
Shirt Road - Project No. 41-09-
12. The project begins 9.2 miles
north of its Junction with US
Highway 18 near Loneman and
continues for approximately 10
miles northerly after crossing the
White River bridge.
•The primary purpose of this
project is to improve safety of the
travelling public and provide an
asphalt surface that will require
less routine maintenance than
the existing base and blotter surface.
The proposed project includes
adding concrete approach
slabs at both ends of the White
River bridge for a smoother ride
over the bridge and placing 3" of
Hot Asphalt Concrete over the
10.6 mile project. This will be
followed by center line and
shoulder paint striping.
•The work will be completed
during the summer after the
work is advertised for bids and a
contractor is selected to perform
that work. All work is scheduled
for completion by Fall of 2009.
•The road will remain open with
some traffic delays. To facilitate
