~Solon Lee Brooks Two Bears ~

Solon Lee Brooks known to many of us by his Lakota name "Two Bears" passed away on Friday, April 10th at the age of 63 years. A jeep tour guide in Sedona, Arizona for many years, he was known for his ability to entertain his guests with his quick witt and story-telling abilities. He was also an exceptional artist, many of his sketches and paintings reflecting the richness of his Lakota heritage. In the 1970's he spent some time as a tribal police officer in Pine Ridge Village, South Dakota. Solon was also a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy like his father before him. Regardless of his situation he was always upbeat with a readily available smile and a story. This was his greatest gift.
