Chadron State College Powwow postponed to spring
      The annual Chadron State College Powwow, scheduled for Saturday, No vember 21, is being postponed. It is being rescheduled for spring 2010 to create a better event. Sarah Polak, a member of the commit tee that organizes the event, said the group is studying the possibility of mak ing the annual powwow a two day event.

The Heritage Center at Red Cloud Indian School hosts seminar for Native artists
     PINE RIDGE, South Dakota—The Heritage Center at Red Cloud Indian School will host “Promote and Protect Your Authentic Indian Art and Craftwork,” a free seminar presented by the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, on Friday, November 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Eben Hall on the Red Cloud campus in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

Fall Parent/Teacher conferences
     ALLEN - With the holiday spirit, American Horse School held its first quarter conferences on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Hundreds of parents and students attended the many activities. Parents met with teachers and a supper was served of potato salad, sloppy joes, fruit, ice cream, and drinks.
