Ask Anna

Dear Anna,

Lately I've been dreaming about living at home on the Rosebud Reservation. Currently I live in another state. Because of this, I've been contemplating retiring back at home, whatever that date may be? This will mean, I'd leave my kids, as adults, and grandkids? People tell me that, when that time comes, it will be hard to leave. It may be, but right now, because of the dreams I actually long for home. My entire family is there!

What do you actually see me doing? I Love my kids unconditionally. I do however, don't see them taking care of me as an elder. That sad to say, and maybe it's because of how they are now. I really won't have enough money to survive in the city. At home, I'll have land and can buy a house and put it on that land and live from what I make from social security and little retirement money I'll have saved. Also, can you tell me why I think about Angels so often. I pray to Father God every night for protection and forgiveness for myself and my family. I ask him to send his Angels to protect us and family as we sleep. I dream about them and daydream too during the day. Sounds crazy.

I also read where you told someone who they were in a prior life...who was I?

Thanks for your help. Dreaming of Home.

Dear Dreaming of Home:

People are talking about it. Movies are being made around the topic. Seer’s and prophecies are being revealed. There are changes coming. We are instinctive beings. If we align ourselves with an openness of possibilities, then we have best prepared ourselves for the probabilities of life. There are people everywhere that are dreaming of going home. I would suggest you pay attention to the dream. I would suggest, also, that you contact an Interpreter Man and talk with him and follow his instructions. I would pay attention to what my “dream self” or inner self was telling me.

I know this much, I must go where I must go, and it always works out that somehow the kids sort of follow or sort themselves out in a way that they end up in another safe environment. That is the way of my life, and it is probably the way of yours. This is a time of change. We are instinctively being alerted to pay attention to certain “suggestions,” from our higher selves. New ideas of better homes are being formulated in minds across the continents. People know that something is up, but nobody really wants to say it out loud or too loud or to actually believe it. Because; what if it is true? What if the future is not like the right now that we live in. What if there is no running water, no electricity, no gasoline or about petroleum products availability or limited availability, medical supplies and life supporting pharmaceuticals availability or life threatening lack, what you have in your cupboard is what you have. What if something is the matter with the air? What if something is the matter with the water, or there is no water? What if technical information were crippled in certain areas for certain time periods and what if there were neighbors at your door?

I can’t tell you anything for sure dear. I can’t guarantee you anything at all. It is not my place to tell you what to do. The Lakota People are known for their dreams. They are a people that receive a lot of important information during their dream time. If I had a dream that I was going home, and I was Lakota, then I would consider that I was going home and be curious to find out how that was going to work out for me. My family is busy trying to figure out exactly what is for our highest good, and where is the best and most practically accessible place to whether big problems and storms. It seems that a dream that you live on the rez bound combined with the impressions of interesting and challenging changes in the future would propel me in that direction.

Angels are wonderful creations. They are angelic. The come from celestial dimension God’s Love. They are God’s Legion beings, in Divine Love, helpful, protective, peaceful and miraculously healing. They have a dynamic of Love and Grace that is evolved and evolving from the Divine Light and Loving Tones of Highest Intonation. They are Harmonious Beings of Divine Joy, celebrating with tones of Angelic Harmony. They have never suffered to be human, but keep themselves as sister species to humans, so to speak. As in human beings and angelic beings: two different sorts of beings. Angels will help you, protect you when you are in harm’s way, intervene when they can, swoop down and rescue people from precarious positions; angels will soothe you when you are under enormous life-shaking stress, and they will advise you to relax, or to hold on, or where to place a hand or a finger or toe, or what word to say, or what noise to make – they will reach into your consciousness, when you are in extreme stress, and you can hear them divine to you, telling you some small direction to go or something small to do that may save your life. Angels are good company. They help.

The Angels will do their part to protect you, but you must also do your part by not trespassing where angels fear to tread. Please pay attention to the friendships and bonds you are creating with people that are currently short-circuiting their own lives with bad behavior and bad decisions. In other words, and clearer terms: quit hanging around with people that are drinking and doing drugs. You were, at least, one time, you mother’s great-grandmother, lived in a wagon, had a deep purple dress, and hated the prairie. It is, who you are this lifetime, however, that matters

Hello Anna, I am a weekly reader of your columns. I like the information you give others. I would like to know something about school and my relationship. I am in tenth grade and I have a baby girl whom is 7 months. I am still with her father and in the last month or two, you told me to DUMP him because he would always be with somebody else. I tried but he don't want to go because of our daughter. I have thoughts of suicide when we argue and I feel like quitting school. My mom told me not to quit because of him. I need help but i need to know "Why He doesn't want to leave me?"

Why won’t he Let me Go?

Dear Why won’t He Let Me Go?

He cannot understand that he could let you live your life and he could live his life and the two of your could be friends, and the two of you could be co parents together, be good parents, but not live as man and wife life together.

He does not understand that the two of you are way too different from each other, that you even have a separate understanding about who or what God Is.

Your boyfriend is a good kid. But he is just a kid. He needs help to arrange that his life coincides with his child’s life in a good way, and I think that there is a program run in the old health administration building in Pine Ridge, called the fatherhood program, that may be able to assist him in some way. If not, his school counselor will work with him to develop parenting skills, coordinate healthy relationship skills and arrangements and help him feel comfortable with being a teen parent. Your boyfriend is so unsettled, and he is really very frightened of not having any power in the future of this child that you and he have brought forth into the world. You can talk to him and assure him that your intention is not to sever his relationship from his baby, but to redefine the relationship that you and he share as parents.

Anyway, you can do this, and so can he. The time for teen age drama, yelling, screaming, being stupid, denial, name calling, and showing off is in your past. It will not work for you in the future, so just be as good a mama as you can be, so you and your baby can live in a good way, dress in nice clothes, live in a nice house, drive in nice cars, go to school and become a teacher.
