Francis James Big Crow Sr.~ "Jamie"

PINE RIDGE Francis James "Jamie" Big Crow Sr., 64, Pine Ridge, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Rapid City. Survivors include his wife, Carol Big Crow, Pine Ridge; seven sons, Francis Big Crow Jr., Tony Waylon and Gilbert Janis, all of Pine Ridge, David Big Crow, Wak pamni, Delane Big Crow, Espenola, N.M., Eric Anduja, Rapid City, and Martin Zephier, Havelock, N.C.; six daughters, Laura Big Crow, Deanna Big Crow, Alice Big Crow, Angela Anduja and Bessie LeBeau, all of Pine Ridge, and Candace Brewer, Rapid City; three broth ers, Howard Bad Milk and Everett "Gabby" Brewer, both of Pine Ridge, and Harry Eagle Bull, Porcupine; five sisters, Oletha Mousseaux, Leatrice Big Crow, Yvonne DeCory and Francine Little Bear, all of Pine Ridge, and Mary Iron Cloud, Porcupine; 36 grandchil dren; and six great grandchildren. A one night wake was held at the Wolf Creek School, with Rosary serv ices and Traditional Lakota services. Services were Saturday, Jan. 30, at Wolf Creek School, with tradi tional Lakota services provided by Mike Carlow and Jerome LeBeaux. Burial was at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery at Wolf Creek. Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
