Lester Amos Poor Bear~

WANBLEE - Lester Amos Poor Bear, 59, Wanblee, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include a brother, Lyle Poor Bear, Wakpala; a sister, LaDonna Poor Bear, Wanblee; five sons, Lester Poor Bear Jr., New Mexico, Weldon Poor Bear, Rosebud, Quentin Poor Bear and Dawson Poor Bear, both of Seattle, and Raymond Poor Bear, Minneapolis; four daughters, Chaunicina Poor Bear and Olivia Poor Bear, both of Rosebud, and Chena Poor Bear and Christine Poor Bear, both of Seattle; an adopted daughter, Emma Eagle Bear, White River; and numerous grandchildren.

A two-night wake will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Crazy Horse School Recreation Center in Wanblee.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the center, with the Rev. Craig West and Francis Cutt officiating, and traditional Lakota services by Richard Moves Camp.

Burial will follow at Gethsemane Episcopal Cemetery in Wanblee. Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
