Survivors include her sons: Roscoe Poor Bear, Jr. and George Poor Bear both of Dallas, TX; daughters: Sue Turning Heart, Juanita Castro, and Anna Good Shot all of Sioux Falls, SD; brother: Sylvester Bird Head of Rapid City, SD; sister: Luann Bad Wound of Martin, SD; brotherin law: Elgin Bad Wound, Sr. of Martin, SD; adopted brother & sister: Leonard Bettelyoun of Taos, NM and Georgette Yells Eagle of Eagle Butte, SD; Grandchildren: 10; Great Grandchildren: 1

One night wake service started at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Elgin & Luann Bad Wound Residence 8 Miles East of Martin, SD.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Elgin & Luann Bad Wound Residence, Martin, SD with Mr. Richard Broken Nose providing Traditional Lakota Services. Burial followed at the Wounded Knee Catholic Cemetery, Wounded Knee, SD.
