Carol Jane (Bianas) Hornbeck

Carol Jane Bianas-Hornbeck was born on October 26, 1961 in Pine Ridge, SD to Burgess Bianas, Sr. and Tina Lone Hill. Carol made her journey to the Spirit World on December 27, 2016 at the Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, SD.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Kayla Gomez and Devonna Velazquez both of Porcupine, SD, Myrna Kills Back of Rapid City, SD, Georgia Hornbeck, Timber Hornbeck, Ariejo Hornbeck, and Marquita Hornbeck all of Porcupine, SD; sons, Joseph Hornbeck IV, Marshall Hornbeck, and Cody Hornbeck all of Porcupine, SD; sisters, Marletta Soldier Wolf of Porcupine, SD, Tiffany Bianas of Pine Ridge, SD, Dawn Lone Hill of Arizona, and Anola Bianas of Rapid City, SD; brothers, Lloyd Bianas, Sr. of Batesland, SD, Denver Bianas of Oglala, SD, Burgess Bianas, Jr. of Batesland, SD, Dennis Lone Elk of Porcupine, SD, and Shawn Bianas of Montana; and numerous grand children and great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hornbeck, Jr.; mother, Tina Lone Hill; father, Burgess Bianas, Sr.; sisters, Vonda and Kathy Bianas; son-in-law, Simon Gomez; grandchildren, Dacia Perez, Samuel Hornbeck, Legend Esquivel, and Baby Hornbeck; and brother, Leo Bianas

A two-night wake service was held for Carol starting at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD. Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD with Rev. Abraham Tobacco and Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear officiating.

Burial services took place at the Porcupine Presbyterian Cemetery, Porcupine, SD.

Arrangements entrusted with Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD.
