Wallace was born on April 4, 1949 at Rosebud, SD to John and Glorietta (Ree) Wells.  He grew up on the Crow Creek Reservation attending school at Fort Thompson and Gann Valley. Wally was into ranching and rodeo as a young man.		</description>
