TODD COUNTY, RED CLOUD WIN SEVERAL REGION 7A MEET EVENTS




MARTIN – Todd County boys finished second behind Winner in Thursday’s Region 7A state qualifying track meet, their girls finished fourth.

Todd County Falcons qualifying for State included Thaddeus Allen winning both the 1600 and 3200, Falcon relay teams winning the 4X100 and the 4X200, Bryce Hammer second in the 100, Brendan Waln second in the 200 and 400, Jacob Wike first in the 400 and Ted Maxey second in both the 110 and 300 hurdles. Jeremiah Whalen/Red Cloud won the 800, David Tuttle/Pine Ridge was second in the 3200, Bennett County took first in the 4X400 while Red Cloud was second, Little Wound took both the 4X800 and the 1600 sprint medley, Deno Cottier/Bennett County won the shot put, Tee Allen/Bennett County took the high jump,

Bennett County girl’s finished second behind Winner, Red Cloud was third, Todd County fourth and Pine Ridge sixth. Individual qualifiers included Red Cloud freshman Allie Richards winning the 200, Stevi Fallis/Red Cloud wins the 400, Jacobi Knight/Red Cloud took the shot put, Cheree Ferguson/Red Cloud was second in the 3200, Echo Ecoffey/Red Cloud was second in 100 hurdles, second in the long jump and second in the triple jump, Kylie Randall/Todd County taking the 300 hurdles, Rainbow Stands/Pine Ridge was second in the 100 and second in the high jump, Bennett County relay teams winning 4X100 and 1600 sprint medley and second in the 4X200 and 4X800. Todd County was second in the sprint medley while Red Cloud was second in the 4X400. Kassie Hardesty/Todd County was second in the discus.

In Region 6A, Adrian White Wolf/CEB was second in the 800, Devon Archambault/ McLaughlin was second in the shot put.

Qualifiers for State hitting the State standards during the season included Jade Ecoffey/Red Cloud in the 3200, Tee Allen/Bennett County in the 400 and the Todd County boy’s sprint medley team.

The State track meet is set for Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, the prelims for Class A on Friday is at Tea Area, prelims for Class B is at Howard Wood field in Sioux Falls while all finals on Saturday are at Howard Wood field in Sioux Falls.
