Lois Kate Slow Bear was born on April 1, 1963 in Pine Ridge, SD to Roland Slow Bear and Doris Dreaming Bear. Lois made her journey to the Spirit World on May 11, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City, SD.

Lois is survived by her siblings, Lorna Lovato of Hot Springs, SD, Janet Tobacco and Judy Slow Bear both of Oglala, SD, Cordell Slow Bear of Hot Springs, SD, David Slow Bear of Sioux Falls, SD, and Norbert Bell of #4 Community; hunka daughter, Antonia Pulliam of Pine Ridge, SD; great granddaughter, Lois Kate Sitting Bear of Oglala, SD; hunka sister, Genevieve Chase In Winter of Oglala, SD; aunts, Rachel Chief Eagle of Pine Ridge, SD, Phyllis Dreaming Bear and Corrine Brave both of Oglala, SD; uncles, Calvert Dreaming Bear of Denver, CO and Delmer Dreaming Bear of #6 Community, Oglala, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Roland Slow Bear and Doris Dreaming Bear; significant other, Abel Good Voice Elk; brothers, Delbert Little Boy, Menford Slow Bear, Alvin Slow Bear, and Steven Slow Bear; sisters, Diane Little Boy; grandparents, Sophia Kate Catches, Herbert & Mary Dreaming Bear; and Agnes Chief; granddaughters, Alayah Aries High Hawk, Sunny Brooke High Hawk, and Makayla Tobacco; nephew, Narvel Tobacco; and niece, Angel Tobacco.

A one-night wake was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD. Funeral Services were held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 also at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD. Officiating was Pastor Eric Sutton and Father Joe Daoust, S.J. Traditional Lakota Services were provided by Mr. Ivis Long Visitor and Mr. Norbert Bell. Burial Services were at the Our Lady of Good Counsel cemetery, Oglala, SD. Arrangements entrusted with Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD.
