West Central ends Todd County season in 11A quarterfinals

MISSION – All season long, Todd County had dominated the line of scrimmage, running at will, but Thursday, West Central held the Falcons to 55 yards on the ground on 20 carries on their way to a 49-8 beat down in the quarterfinals of the SD 11A football playoffs.

West Central scored three times in the first quarter to go up 21-0; the Trojans went up 35-0 at the half and compiled a 49-0 lead late in the fourth quarter when Aiden Bizardie connected with Josh Rowland on a 53 yard touchdown pass, Bryant Burnette ran for two and it was 49-8.

Rowland had four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown while Bizardie was 12 of 25 for 169 yards and a touchdown and Burnette finished with 15 carries for 69 yards. Todd County finished the season at 7-3. They were seeded fourth in 11A and hosted the 11A first round game.
